Sue – HMV 2030

I bought my HMV 2030 in 1968 with my first salary cheque and have been using it ever since so I was dismayed when it stopped working. How lucky I was to find that in this age of built in obsolescence there was someone skilled enough to repair it. Darren completely rebuilt the turntable, serviced the amplifier, cleaned everything and even replaced the lens and bulb of the little pilot light which had not worked for years. Importantly, he also arranged collection and return. I am delighted with the result and that I can still play our large collection of records and enjoy the mellow sound.
